Hello lovely internet friends! 😘

Today I wanted to share with you all an updated skin care pamper routine because I love trying to keep my face as happy as possible!

On most regular days when I am not doing anything too exciting or just running errands I don’t even wear makeup, this is mainly due to the fact I am genuinely happy with the condition that my skin is in at the moment and I believe that most of the credit for that goes to my skin care routine. However, YES my skin does have flaws, but hey thats skin for you and at the age of 20, iv exposed my skin to sun, wind, makeup, chemicals etc. I don’t expect that my face is going to look as perfect as a babies bum haha and neither should you, don’t be ashamed of those small imperfections because there is no way of getting out of them! I find that the main issues with my skin at the moment is discolouration, redness and the pimple here and there! Like I said above these issues are more then likely not going to disappear but there are ways of calming down these problems and decreasing the risk of them getting worse by using certain products.

*Don’t Forget: It isn’t just about what products you use on your face to keep it healthy. It is also important to look after your skin in other ways, such as cleaning your makeup brushes regularly, wearing sunscreen when out in the sun for long periods of time, and also making sure that you eat a healthy diet!

So if you are interested in knowing how I look after my skin daily and some of my weekly pamper treats then keep on reading! ❤️

I am going to begin this post by first showing you how I remove my makeup and clean my face on a night time basis! I like to spend a little extra time at night to ensure that I clean my face thoroughly so that by morning, my routine is simple and easy to get straight out the door! I think that cleaning your face and removing all of your makeup before you hit the pillow is one of the most important steps to keeping your skin free of any issues; when you don’t remove your makeup before you go to sleep your skin cannot breathe, your pores clog up, oils and product mix around on your face leaving you with pimples and the chances of your skin ageing quicker increases (not something that anyone wants to deal with – am I right? 💁🏼) Now lets get into this 101 guide to pampering your skin!

Step one:
SIMPLE – Spotless Skin Cleansing Wipes

When I first arrive home from whatever I have been doing that day, I always like to go sit at my vanity and begin the process of removing my makeup (because lets be honest, wearing nothing on your skin feels so much nicer then having the cake on). To begin the process, first things first (I’m the realest 😏)  I need to attempt to remove as much makeup off of my face, and I do this by using a cleansing wipe! I use the Simple Spotless Skin Cleansing Wipes as they are super damp, help prevent spots and are also super gentle on my skin! I have been using these for years now and always keep going back to them!

Now even though I love these wipes, they don’t remove all of my makeup, and to be honest they don’t make my skin feel clean either! Please do not be conned into thinking that the wipes will remove everything just by looking at how much makeup has been stained onto the wipe, because trust me there is so much more left on your face that you need to get rid of. As I said above, this is just the first step to getting my skin extremely clean!

Step two:
GARNIER – Micellar Cleansing Water

After using the wipes, I like to go in with the Garnier Micellar Water on a few cotton pads and remove even more of the makeup left on my face! In the photos below you can see that I managed to remove a crap load of excess makeup off of my face even after using the wipes – this product really does some magic on the skin!

Step three:
AESOP – Amazing Face Cleanser

Once I feel like I have gotten rid of majority of my makeup I then like to go in with my Aesop Amazing Face Cleanser. let me just say; I LOVE THIS STUFF! This product is recommended for use with oily skin so it works absolute wonders for my face. I use this product every night and I love the way the gel easily lathers up, it smells fresh and makes my face literally glow once I have washed it off! Nothing bad to say about this product 🙌🏼
Once my face is dry, I then like going over the skin with a toner for extra cleanness! I use the Aesop Bitter Orange Astringent Toner again another awesome product!

Step four:

Step five:
AESOP – Chamomile Concentrate Anti-Blemish Mask

As a special pamper treat I like to do a face mask once a week and this is often done after the face is cleansed 😍 Lately I have been really enjoying the Aesop Chamomile Concentrate Anti-Blemish mask! This mask is super light but really does pack a punch, after 10 minutes you wont be moving your face in any kind of direction 😂 I absolutely love the way my skin looks and feels after I have used this mask and it definitely calms and reduces redness any spots I may have on my skin! I would recommend this product if you are someone who also has issues with discolouration and redness. P.s another product with a super fresh scent!

Step six:
BIORE – Deep Cleansing Pore Strips

Now there is nothing worse than clogged pores (gross!) to combat this, once a week I love to do a deep pore cleanse! I have been using the Biore deep cleansing strips and I really do enjoy them! the application is super easy and it only hurts a smidgen when the strip is pulled off but its so totally worth it! As gross as it is there is nothing more satisfying than pulling the strip off and seeing how much dirt and other nasties have been pulled out! 🙈

Step seven:
AESOP – Mandarin Facial Hydrating Cream

The final step to my night time routine is to lock in moisture (I know this process has been a long one, but trust me its all totally worth it). This step is super important whether you have dry, oily or normal skin; during the process of removing your makeup and cleansing your face you have also stripped away moisture and important oils that you skin needs to thrive, using a moisturiser will lock all of that back into place and leave your face feeling refreshed! I am absolutely obsessed with the Aesop Mandarin Facial Hydrating Cream. This cream is slightly thicker then normal moisturisers, however I quite enjoy that before hitting the pillow at night, Aesop also have a oil-free hydrating serum for those who do not want to apply a thicker cream (a product I am also looking into purchasing). This cream as the name suggests is scented with mandarin, lemon and tangerine and smells absolutely divine when you apply it to your face! This product is nothing short of amazing!
And there we have it, my complete night time routine! This routine ensures that my face is extremely clean and well looked after, it also leaves me with a great base to work with in the morning.

Thank you so much for getting to the end of this post! I know it was a long one. I hope you that this post was informative and maybe inspire some people to really take some time to look after their skin. As much as I love to spend money on makeup and clothes, I also love to spend a extra few dollars on skin care products because I know its going to benefit me in the long run ☺️ If you have any recommendations on skin care products that work well for oily skin I would love to hear them, also let me know what your favourite pamper step is! 😍

I hope you all have a wonderful Friday, I have a bunch of exciting content coming out very very soon! xxx
