GIORGIO ARMANI LUMINOUS SILK FOUNDATION REVIEW

Hi lovelies 😘 hope you are all splendid! Today on the blog I am doing another foundation review (yay!) 🙊 I love doing these reviews because I personally find them so useful. It can be an extremely difficult task trying to pick out the right makeup and especially foundation because different formulas can work differently on different skin – however if you know someone who has similar skin to yours the job can be made so much easier. I honestly love trying out new foundations and then giving you guys my honest feedback because lets be real; foundation is one damn expensive product and if it doesn’t work for you its pretty disappointing 😪
Just a quick disclaimer; I have oily skin, especially in my t-zone. I can get dry patches around my cheek area however this is rare. 

Before I say anything else…let me just say that I absolutely LOVE this foundation! And whilst I said that in my previous foundation post on the YSL Fusion Ink (https://missdcal.com/2016/02/10/yves-saint-laurent-foundation-review/) Luminous Silk has definitely taken the lead by a million ❤️ keep on reading to find out why!

I have LOTS of pros to this product 👍🏼 first up, lets talk about the packaging! I love the simple design of the Luminous Silk Foundation. It comes in a matte glass bottle, with simple black font and a plastic hard lid. When you pop the lid off you are nicely greeted with a pump (HALLELUJAH!). Foundations without pumps are super messy and you usually use more then you need, resulting in a waste of product! Don’t fear, this does NOT happen with the Luminous Silk foundation and thats a massive win for me! The product also does not require a heap to be used at one time, I use two pumps and that nicely covers my entire face and gives me a medium to full coverage look which I love. This is essential to my pro’s as obviously the product is quite pricey so only having to use a little at a time to cover your entire face is amazing and the product wont just disappear after a few uses 😍 More pros you ask?! I absolutely love the formula of this product, it is so light weight, and dries in a satin consistency which makes your skin look so healthy and glowy, even on your worst days when you haven’t slept for several hours this product will rejuvenate you! Now I know you might be thinking; glowy skin vs oily skin 😳 but ill have you rest assured this is not a problem; I have super oily skin and it seems to stay under control and at bay with this foundation THANKGOD! 👌🏼The product also manages to stay on all day with no issue!

If I haven’t already convinced you to buy this foundation, you should know that there are very few cons to this product. Of course there are going to be cons to any product you buy, even if its the tiniest issue! So whilst I love this foundation it wouldn’t be an honest review if I didn’t mention the cons that I have with this product. First and foremost… this foundation is EXPENSIVE! $95 for a 30ml bottle of foundation is a lot 😭 and if I hadn’t gone overseas and purchased this product for cheaper I am not sure I would of committed to buying it here in Australia. However now that I have purchased it and used it and love it, I will definitely be repurchasing this product again without a doubt! However if you are on a budget, this product will not be for you!  The only other issues that I can think of with this foundation, is that it needs to be set (I don’t mind this step as I always do it anyways due to oily skin) however if you do not do this step there is a chance that your foundation will transfer due to the dewy formula. Other then that, I seriously cannot think of any other issue with this foundation! So whilst iv got you convinced; go and buy this amazing product, you will not regret it! 😍❤️ I find myself reaching for this foundation every single day and whilst I don’t want to use the product up I cannot get enough of it and how it makes my skin look!
