Hello lovelies, I hope you are all doing fantastic today! I am so excited to share this post with you all because I have worked so hard on it, and am so happy with how it turned out (so I hope you all enjoy it too 🙈). Today I am doing a review and two makeup creations using the Tarte Tarteist Pro Palette 😍❤️

I knew that I wanted and needed this palette, from the moment I watched all of my favourite youtube influencers in Bora Bora being involved in its launch (ya’ll sure did do a good job of convincing everyone to buy the palette). When I saw the packaging, the colours and the size of the pro palette I knew I needed it in my already large collection; and already being obsessed with other Tarte palettes made it a pretty easy decision for me to make.

I bought (well actually my lovely boyfriend) the pro palette from the Tarte website (link) as the palette is currently unavailable everywhere else (hopefully they make it available to Sephora soon!) The palette cost me $86AUD and $24AUD in shipping so a total of about $110AUD, which in opinion isn’t too bad considering you get 20 amazingly pigmented shades! As Tarte is a USA based company it took about 2 weeks for my order to arrive at my door and yes it was the longest two weeks ever 😭😭 I absolutely loved the packaging that the palette came in (gorgeous cardboard box) however I was slightly concerned that it was not very well protected! But all is well as the palette came in perfect shape with no issues 😍🙌🏼

As soon as I opened the palette and looked at all of the amazing colours I fell madly in love *❤️* I think the thing that drew me most to the palette was the amazing selection of matte colours (which is what I’m all about 🙈) but also on top of that the duo-chrome shimmer shadows which were all colours that I was dying to get my hands on ✨ the gorgeous pure gold, champagne, fiery burgundy and that gorgeous blue 😍 Lets just say that this palette was screaming MISSDCAL all over it!

Within minutes of opening the palette I began swatching the shadows and HOLY jesus the pigmentation of the shades gave me life! I already knew that Tarte produced awesomely pigmented shadows, but this palette just took it to another level and not only that but they blended out like butter on a warm piece of bread 👌🏼 There is literally nothing that I can fault about the shadows in this palette – and I assume that is why they named it the “PRO” palette, it is simply perfection!

So at this point you all probably know that I love the shadows in this palette, but I wont stop there! Let me also tell you how much I adore the packaging of this palette as well! I believe that every palette should come with a mirror (they are resourceful and essential to any makeup application) the Tarte Pro Palette comes with a ginormous mirror which I aint going to lie, I use it on a daily basis now! The exterior and interior of the palette is also just stunning, the reflective gold base just goes perfectly with the black and also with all of the shadows on the inside and provides for a very luxe and expensive look without the expendo price tag 👌🏼 PS. Tarte did an awesome job on giving all of their shadows funky and unique names 🙌🏼😍

Shades from Left – Right * Top – Bottom:
Line 1: Classic, Innocent, Whimsy, Smoked & Etheral
Line 2: Vintage, Fierce, No Filter, Vamp & Glam
Line 3: Chic, Profesh, Mod, Drama & Minx
Line 4: Indie, Bold, Edgy, Punk & Trendy

So if you cannot guess… I LOVE this palette! I definitely think it has the perfect balance of of warm, neutral and cool tones and also matte and shimmer shades! The size of the palette also makes it awesome and convenient for travelling and hey what can go wrong when you have a selection of 20 shadows to choose from!? 🙌🏼  I definitely see myself using this palette on a daily basis, but if that doesn’t convince you 100% well, scroll down and see two completely different makeup creations I done using the Pro Palette! (and to be honest, I could think of another 10 looks to add to this 🙈)

*I have listed all of products I used to create these looks (e.g. foundation, concealer etc) and have also given a description of what shades I used from the Pro Palette and how I used them to create the specific eye looks! Enjoy!

EYES:
Using  only the Tarteist PRO Palette:
Using the Pro Palette I first took the colour “classic” which is a bone shade and used this to set my brow bone to lid – this helped with ensuring all of the other colours blended out like butter! Then using the warm neutral shade “bold” I blended this just above my crease as my transition colour. For my crease as well as the inner and outer thirds of the lid I used the medium dark brown shade “Edgy“, blending this out created a halo  eye effect and deepened the warmths of the colour which was perfect for the middle lid shadow. Then taking the shades “Punk” and “Trendy” I placed this directly on the middle of my lid. The shade “Trendy” was a great touch as the duo-chrome formula worked perfectly with the other colours on the eye. It also added the perfect touch of colour from what was going to be an all brown eye shadow look. For under my eyes I took the shades “Edgy” and “Bold” and blended them out to match the upper lid.

EYES:
Using  only the Tarteist PRO Palette:
For this look I once again took the colour classic which is a bone shade and used this to set my brow bone to lid. Then using the warm peach shade “Innocent” I blended this just above my crease as my transition colour. Taking the deep terracotta orange shade “Whimsy” I blended this into my crease to intensify the colour. For the outer third I blended out “Mod“, “Drama” and “Smoked“, each shade was used on top of one another to create a perfect burgundy brown eyeshadow. To give the look that bit of extra wow factor I used the duo-chrome glitter shade “Minx” on the inner third of my lid which was a perfect colour match for the other shadows. I then placed a touch of the gold reflective shade “Glam” directly on the middle of my lid. To match the top lid I then smoked out the shades “Smoked” and “Whimsy” on my bottom lash line!
