JANUARY BEAUTY FAVOURITES

Hello lovelies! Hope you are all doing amazing and had the best weekend – I am so sorry for being MIA for a few weeks, A LOT has happened (quick overview – I finished my degree and jumped straight into a full time job 🙈) I am still learning about how I will manage working my full time job and still regularly posting content for you but please be rest assured I will try my very very best to keep posting once a week 😘

Today on the blog I wanted to share with you my FAVOURITE products of January! I definitely found that there were products in January that I just kept going back too and couldn’t stop using and I wanted to share these products with you 😁❤️ In my favourites I have a primer, foundation, bronzer, highlighter, and two lipsticks for you – so I this post maybe helps you in trying a new product or adding some onto your already huge shopping lists 🙈 oh and I hope you all enjoy it too!

 Makeup Forever: Step 1 Mattifying Primer

The first product in my beauty favourites for January has definitely got to be THIS primer! I never used to be a primer fan before and never really got the point in it (probably because I wasn’t getting the right primer for my skin!). Then I tried the Makeup Forever Step 1 Mattifying primer and oh my lord – it changed the game for me 😍 This primer is absolutely perfect for anyone who has oily skin (like me) and wants something to keep their oils away. This makes your face feel matte and firm and is amazing for keeping your makeup on all day long! I have found that this primer has been especially useful in the summer time when my skin gets a little more oily and sweaty and it really does hold your makeup down for a lot longer – A holy grail in my opinion!

Maybelline: Matte and Poreless Foundation

Another product I have loved throughout Summer as well as January is the Matte and Poreless foundation by Maybelline! I am definitely more of a high end foundation lover – however I absolutely love this foundation by Maybelline and its totally inexpensive. The product is again amazing for oily and sweaty skin in the summer because it has a gorgeous matte finish, AND it also does an amazing job at filing in pores and making your skin look perfect and well almost airbrushed 👌🏼 Another thing I LOVE about this foundation is the colour selection – for a drug store product they definitely nailed the process of making their foundations the right colour and I find the shade I use 220 if great for my naturally olive skin tone 😍

Chanel: Soleil Tan De Bronzer

A product that I have been itchy to try is a cream based bronzer / contour and more specifically the Chanel Soleil Tan bronzer, which whilst I will admit is quite pricey, it is a product I have been loving so much! I have thoroughly enjoyed using this cream bronzer this summer and January because it gives the most amazing sun kissed glow to the skin 🌞 the quality is just amazing and feels so luxurious! This product is also so incredibly easy to use and blends out like a dream, the shade of the bronzer and the consistency of the cream makes this product absolutely amazing for everyone 😍👌🏼

MAC: Bleaming Blush Highlighter

Now we all know everyone loves a good highlighter in their life and well i am no exception from that 🙈 So when I saw MAC came out with a new collection of duo-chrome highlighters I had to get my hands on at least one of them and I was not disappointed. Bleaming blush is such a unique highlighter shade as it has hints of pearlescent beauty and gorgeous rose gold shadows and I don’t think I have ever seen a highlighter quite like this (maybe a little similar but this one is definitely unique!) The pigment makes your highlight visible from the moon and well there isn’t really much to fault with this product 😍❤️ I definitely want to try the rest of the collection now for sure!

Too Faced: Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick (Cool Girl)

I have always loved matte liquid lipsticks over any other lipstick formula, however crackly and dry feeling lips isn’t always my favourite thing in the world – So when I tried the Matte Liquid Lipsticks from Too Faced I fell in love! The formula of the lipstick is perfection, the lipstick dries matte but does not feel drying on the lips whatsoever! A shade I have been using all of January is “cool girl” this the perfect shade for me in my opinion because its just the right  amount of nude, pink and brown all in one tube (HEAVEN) 🙌🏼 The colours also aren’t patchy at all so you find that one swipe on the lips with the applicator and your ready to go 👏🏻❤️

MAC: Blankety

And last but certainly not least at all I have been thoroughly enjoying using MAC’s amplified creme lipstick in BLANKETY 😍💄 like I said just above, I haven’t always been a lover of traditional lipstick, I find that it often smudges off of my lips or gets on my teeth (which might I add is not hot!) but when I bought Blankety and tried it – I couldn’t stop using it! It is the most perfect pink nude lipstick and has a “my lips but better look” its super creamy, hydrating and moisturising which is a wonderful change from the matte lips I love to wear! I don’t know what is about this lipstick shade in particular but I feel like it just works wonders for me and I definitely recommend it to all those girls out their who have an olive skin tone ❤️
