Happy 2019 AND welcome back to missdcal.com my lovelies ❤️
I am sure you have probably noticed i’ve been pretty well invisible from this platform for a whole year now; Ill let you in on a little secret… I have missed posting on here so incredibly much! I wont go into too much detail on the reasoning behind my extended leave in this particular post (but it may be something I will write about at a later date). What I really want you to know though, is that I am finally back, and I am ready to step up my blogging style in an even more creative manner 🎥So please expect non stop posts about all my favourite things in life like: beauty, fashion and travel!
And hey, what better way to start off this new year then with a missdcal classic: outfit of the day!

Now, you may be asking – “missdcal? what was the inspiration behind this outfit?” and well, if I am truly honest with you… this look was formed on the simple basis that I bought a cute new top and only had a handful of luggage packed in a small duffle bag to pair it with whilst travelling to stay in the city for the weekend 😂 I think that sometimes our best outfits are the ones that aren’t completely planned out to a tee and I must say I really did enjoy wearing this number!
I am going to have to say that the star of this outfit is definitely this perfect flowy crop top from @bardot. As soon as I laid my eyes on it on the shop floor I knew that it needed to be mine A.S.A.P, and as any other female obsessed shopper of course I had to wear it straight away! So I chucked on my outfit of choice, jumped on a tram and met my friend for a simple lunch date that was then followed by a small photoshoot in some random alley way with this awesome colour wall print (yes find yourself a friend who will do both!)
In my eyes there were two ways I would have styled this delicate piece – 1: total bohemian princess or 2: old school grunge! I decided to channel my inner baby days missdcal, and go for a classic grunge look that was just a little more toned down then previous outfits chosen in this genre. So I decided to pair my cute tee with these super ripped high waisted jeans from @americaneagleoutfitters and over worn commando boots from @betts which really turned this outfit from looking as though I was going to attend a potential sunflower party in the park look to an I am totally attending a 1990’s rock festival – which I totally wasn’t! but hey there are no strict rules to where you can and cant wear an outfit! The final touches I added to this look include a simple belt from @generalpantsco as well as my @pandora bracelet and @fitbit watch. All in all, I total dug not only the style of this outfit but the ultimate comfort of it as well – I am sure if you are long term missdcal’er you will know comfort always comes first for me! What I love about this outfit is that it reminds me how fun fashion can be and the fact that you don’t need to have a whole wardrobe full of clothes to put together a fun outfit – sometimes you just need to be creative and play a little mix-match!
