WELCOME TO PARIS PT 1: MISSDCAL TRAVEL GUIDE
Bonjour my lovelies, it’s nice to see you here again!
I know that I’ve been absent on the blog for the last couple of months (if you’re a long time follower of me you will know that this is nothing unusual though haha – yikes) but I promise I have a wonderful reason for my lack of posts… I’ve been TRAVELLING AROUND EUROPE FOR THE LAST TWO MONTHS!!!
Naturally I wanted to be able to share my whole experience with you guys so over the next couple of weeks I will be posting a MISSDCAL travel guide and travel diary for each country I travelled too as part of my trip (this will also serve as a little diary for myself to reflect upon in future as well).
*please note: if you want to know how on earth I managed to holiday around Europe for two months on my own (no tours / no travel agent) I will be doing a wrap up post in the near future which will feature all of my biggest tips and tricks to doing this sort of travel so that maybe one day you can do the same if you desire!
I’m excited, so let’s get started!
TRAVEL DIARY: PARIS FRANCE
Starting off on the MISSDCAL TRAVEL GUIDE series, I’m taking you to the city of PARIS! The city of love as they call it, but for me travelling without a partner to Paris, it was much more of a joyous scenic history lesson.
I spent a total of six days in Paris, with each day jam packed to the brink with activities – I am going to break my time in Paris into two parts just to make it flow easier, so without yammering on too much, let me run you through how exactly I spent my time!
if ya’ll don’t want to read what I got up too – don’t worry I got you covered! you can watch my experience below instead ✌🏼
Day ONE: Was a total blow off lazy day! It was filled with some jet lag and couch sitting waiting for check in to our hotel! Let’s just go straight to day 2!
Day TWO and THREE: DISNEYLAND PARIS

To kick start my holiday in the best possible way, I decided to first hang out at Disneyland Paris – let me also mention that it was my 24th birthday, so I thought what better way to celebrate getting old then of course by letting out my inner child out to play! If you didn’t already know, I am a huge Disney fan and being in Disneyland always gives me pure happiness and joy (like could you really be sad being at the happiest place on earth?) so I knew that a trip to Paris had to involve visiting Disneyland at least once. Let me spill some more deets about it!

So how did I spend my time in Disneyland you ask? of course I did all the usual Disney stuff like buying a new pair of ears to wear throughout the day, looking for Disney characters and spending far too much time admiring the Disney castle (which in my opinion is the most magical part of Disneyland). *Please take a shot every time you read Disneyland in this blog post! Majority of my time visiting the park was spent either a) waiting in lines for all of the best rides, b) getting an insane amount of adrenaline rushing through as I went on said rides, c) snapping many, many photos, and d) at times unfortunately hiding away from the rain. Honestly even with some of those small downfalls, I had no cares in the world whilst in the park.

OK, so you’re probably thinking, MISSDCAL what are your biggest tips for visiting Disneyland Paris? Don’t worry I got you covered with my FIVE most important points to remember!
1: If you are wondering why I decided to do Disneyland over two days, it’s because I also visited the Walt Disney Studios. Personally I believe that if you are going to take time to visit Disneyland, splitting it up over two days means you can embrace the whole Disney experience without feeling totally rushed (remember a lot of time is spent waiting in lines so time can go quickly and you don’t want to feel like you missed out on anything).
2: This is going to be a controversial opinion BUT, I think it’s actually better to skip out on the fast pass tickets! To be honest, you really don’t save that much time with a fast pass ticket in Disneyland Paris because you can only use them during designated time slot which means you are still waiting for the ride (even if you leave to do something else such as going on another ride or getting food you’re probably STILL going to be waiting behind a long line of people doing the same thing). Point to take here is that you’re always going to be waiting anyways no matter what you do!
3: Since you are more than likely going to be waiting in lines at Disneyland (as I said above) make sure you bring something that you can use to entertain you during those times. This will make you experience much more enjoyable!
4: WATCH THE INFAMOUS DISNEY LIGHT SHOW! IT IS INCREDBILE!
5: Tip on top of tip, if you are going to watch the Disney light show in the summer time keep in mind that it doesn’t start until 11pm. Make sure you try and find your viewing spot between the hours of 9pm-10pm as the best spots always packed out after these times and let me tell you, you don’t want to be at the back for the show! Bring something to sit on because it can get tiring standing on your feet waiting for the show.

What was my favourite part of the experience you may ask? I love meeting the characters, and whilst they are harder to get a hold of in Disneyland paris to me it’s a joyful experience and of course all of the rides, im a huge adrelanin pumping fan so anything that gives me an opportunity to experience that is a winner in my books. The whole experience is without fault.
